The New York cannabis scene is booming. Despite a bit of a shaky start, regulated dispensaries are beginning to thrive—and thirsty for the hot new thing. Nowhere was this more evident than at Revelry. Held at Pier 36 in New York City, the two-day event was packed with buyers, brands, and industry elite searching for innovation.
Despite a thick crowd and just a few hours on site, the GreenState team was able to scope out a decent percentage of booths. From upstate New York cultivators to multi-state brands hoping to break in, here are some of the standouts from this year’s show.
Alibi Cannabis
We adore a female-founded brand, especially one with a story of healing behind it. Alibi was created by Marianne Cursetjee, whose battle with cancer inspired her to focus on plant medicine. Originating in Oregon, Alibi is hoping to strike a chord in the Empire State. At Revelry, pre-rolls and vapes were available, but it was a hit from the Spiced Apple all-in-one that really left an impression, conjuring big sweater-weather energy.
